I am interested in complex literary, religious, and philosophical themes grounded in history, science,
symbolism, mysticism, personal experience, and imagination.
The theme of a painting is not always clear in advance. Sometimes it reveals itself during the
process, and sometimes it becomes fully understood only long after the work has been completed.
For me, painting is a process in which themes, meanings, and connections gradually reveal
themselves.
